Awesome fitting bag , bolted straight to my top tube , and should be as waterproof and durable as my other tailfin kit
I have been using the fork bags, alloy AeroPack with thru axle and side panniers in touring/bikepacking in Mexico for several weeks now.
Apart from a few wear marks on the seams I have no problems and I am very satisfied with the gear.
Tailfin products appear to be of very good quality and designed with great care.
Moreover customer service is responsive and competent.
It’s a pleasure to buy from them.
Everything that I've bought from Tailfin is meticulously engineered, and you can tell that actual cyclists have tested and designed them. These handy litte bags are no different. You could just buy some inexpensive bags or use zip locks, but these bags fit perfectly in the aeropack, making it easy to pack, unpack, and find exactly what you're looking for without fuss. Worth every penny.
We used a Tailfin set-up (top bag and side bags) on our 8-day bikepacking adventure in Georgia, cycling from Tbilisi to Batumi through mostly sun but also storm and snow.
We had some last-minute requirements and the wonderful customer service team solved it for us quickly - allowing us to have everything we needed on time!
It’s sturdy and I like the way it bolts to my top frame.
I have been using it for over a year and the product has never fallen out.
It is a good basic product and I am very satisfied with its appearance.
The waterproof bag also functions well and contains more contents than expected.
It was very simple to dismantle the rack, so I think it was good to respond to various situations.
It would be great if a similar front rack was released.
You can attach a water bottle cage to an alloy rack, but you cannot attach a water bottle cage to a carbon rack.
It would be nice if there was a way to expand the water bottle cage using a pannier mount.
Great product! I have the carbon ones, used them on a 160 mile bikepacking trip recently, they handled it well, I mounted anything cages and standard water bottles cages. I Will look at other products in the future.
Only used a couple of times and it’s obvious this is a quality bit of kit. It’s hasn’t budged at all from being strapped to the toptube, and there are a more than enough naff roads around to test that.
I do wish I’d have bought the flip top rather than the zip though, as access to the contents would be tons easier.
There will be a lot of bikepacking bags in my house. There are better and worse, I bought a lot of them before I found this perfect bag with an integrated carrying system, easy to assemble, comfortable to use, sufficiently capacious, and as a bonus it looks great, which of course is not the most important thing, but it will make you happy. That bag is the Tailfin aero pack. Today I ask myself, why did I have to spend a lot of money on all these bags when I only use aero packs?
I love my top tube bag. It's the perfect size for phone, keys, multi-tool and a couple of snacks. Looks really good on the bike and feels really good quality.
well though, easy to set up bike rack/bags. will love to see more top tube bag choice
Supreme Quality to the max.
Order a rack and bags, very good quailty, packed well and arrived quickly. I contacted customer support for help with the install this exceeded my expectations.
I got this as my current one has a bit of leg rub and it gets quite irritating.
I ordered the 0.8L as I wanted one for my phone (S22), a bit of food and keys.
Is well made, doesn't wobble or bulge out and you can put plenty in it. Very importantly it doesn't rub my legs, not even close.
Very happy!
Tailfin offers thoughtful and innovative products at a reasonable price. Their products are durable, but in the rare event of a failure, their customer service team stands behind what they make. I am thrilled with my experiences doing business with them.
Fab product. Very stable even on the toughest of climbs.
Easy to access contents with a quality zipper.
Great quality material. Waterpoof too, well what i have ridden in so far.
Love the pocket inside, ideal for keys or tablets etc., just away from the main items.
The straps are great. Very secure & no way of casue paint damage. They tuck nicely under the bag so theres nothing hanging out!
Frees up my pockets hugley & keep any chocolate cool!
Nice cable slot for charging garmins
I'm keeping mine on all the time now!
Used it for a round trip 180 km trip overnighter, brilliant product, exactly what i was hoping for
The fork mount was easy to attach, and stayed put during some occasionally gnarly MTB riding. I had a water bottle cage attached. The water bottle fell out once, so it would be wise to put an extra strap on. Perhaps Tailfin could invent a secure bottle cage to go with the mount.
I have bikepacking bags from three other well-known makers as well as my Tailfin framebag and top-tube bag. I think only Tailfin has really got the design (frame fit and attachment), usability and build quality nailed simultaneously. That makes them great value for money too.
I’ve known about tailfin for sometime when looking for a bag solution that could be used on a road bike without pannier mounts. The rack is just fantastic and super easy to remove for those days when you don’t need to carry anything I.e. you have a base, then just clip back on with 3 clips! Away you go.
I’ve since invested in the bolt on top tube bag and the quick release fork bags.
Everything is high quality at a fair price point. I hope as tailfin grow, they don’t push this to the point that the market will just tolerate.
I am amazed how the top tube bag stays in place without moving. I had given up using one after having other brands constantly flop about. It now is used on every ride.Cotic
We've had some issues with the hook of two panniers during our bike trip.
Tailfin replaced them for free. No questions asked. They responded very quickly. And within one week we received them in Switzerland.
A really excellent product, impeccably designed that does exactly what it’s meant to do.
Great top tube bag! You don’t hit it with your knees and provides a quick and easy stash point for essentials in your rides. I don’t care for bags that require a Velcro strap to your stem spacers so this is a great alternative. I went with zip, but I’m thinking the magnetic flap might have been an even better choice, as the zipper handle can rattle a bit if you pay close attention.
The TailFin aeropack carbon rack is so great! Each and every tiny part is so well thought, it's a pleasure to ride with it! The top tube bag is also really great, from the mounting system to the inside. Thanks a lot and congrats for such good products!
